Just got home from a great gig with my new trio. So great to play with Russell Sholberg and Skye Brooks! We’ll be back at it next Tuesday at the Libra room before doing some recording this fall. Very excited. Stay tuned!

Since there’s a blizzard outside, I’ve decided to stay home where it’s both dry and warm. Therefore I’ll take this opportunity to announce that my trio will be making another appearance in February. Also, a special night at Cafe Tasso with Tobius Delius, Martin Klingeberg and Antonio Borghini! Vancouver-bound

The show at Wendel with Tobias Delius, Jan Röder, Rui Faustino and myself the other night was a blast. I’ll post some audio clips soon.
Next up: a month back home in Vancouver, where I get to play with all my old pals, including a couple of shows at the jazz festival, the very long anticipated Crackling CD release, and shows with Bruce Freedman, Corbin Murdoch, Queso Blanco, Christina Maria and others. Can’t wait!

Spring!

I’m still riding high from two very well-received and, happily, well-attended shows this month with my new trio with Miles Perkin and Steve Heather. It’s unmistakably spring, and I’ve got lots to look forward to, including a visit in June to Vancouver! It’s will have been over two years by then since I left and it will be fantastic to reconnect with so many great people. I’ve got some shows lined up too, including one with Queso Blanco at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival and a show with Christina Maria at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre.
